Presented at Castello di Rivoli in dialogue with the museum's historical and contemporary context, this chapter brought HUMAN ONE into a darker and more politically charged register. The explorer moves through the remains of a war-torn environment inspired by the devastation of Ukraine, where torn flags, ruined structures, and holographic traces of displaced civilians linger as fragments of collective memory.
In this setting, the work becomes a meditation on endurance, witnessing, and the slow violence of historical trauma. Shown at a major international museum and in conversation with Francis Bacon at the venue, the chapter expanded HUMAN ONE from a speculative journey into a direct encounter with the realities of conflict.
